Sogreah Magelis is a subsidiary of Sogreah, one of France’s leading independent consultancy and engineering groups (since 1923), which is represented by more than 1000 professionals working in 153 countries.

The head office of Sogreah Magelis is in Lyon (France). The company was established with the purpose of providing industry with international environmental services. Sogreah Magelis aims to pool the group’s competences and to provide a single point of contact for industrial groups that use international services.

The engineers of the group’s various subsidiaries, who join the teams of Sogreah Magelis, have competences in chemistry, hydrogeology, biology, environment, industrial risk, toxicology, regulatory issues, water and air treatment, soil and groundwater decontamination, environmental management, socio-economics, sustainable development, sociology, etc.

Sogreah Magelis is principally active in the following areas :

• Environmental strategies and environmental assessments: environmental management, sustainable development, environmental reports, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures. 
• New project studies: environmental baseline surveys, marine environment surveys and soil and groundwater investigations, environmental and socio-economic impact assessments, environmental engineering design reviews, oil-spill contingency plans, etc.
• Audits and evaluation of existing facilities or plants : due diligence audits, site characterisation studies (soil, air, water), compliance audits, risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP), wastewater treatment and waste management, health and ecological risk assessments.
• Project management for regulatory compliance and site remediation (soil and groundwater).
