In the context of the enforcement of the Environment protection regulation in China, Sogreah Magelis performed an Environmental Compliance Audit in order to assess conformity and adherence of the LAFARGE Dujiangyan cement plant to the Chinese Environmental regulations and LAFARGE's standards.
In the context of the construction of a new reserach center for Renault in Romania, Sogreah Magelis performed the environmental audit of a former military site in Titu-Boteni (260ha) in compliance with Romanian legislation and international standards. Before the construction works, Renault Technologie Roumanie contracted Sogreah Magelis in March 2008 to assist them for the remediation works.
Bora Bora belongs to the archipelago of the “îles sous le vent” in French Polynesia. The supply of quality drinking water represents a true challenge for the Pacific islands. After the development of the sewing system and the diversification of the means of production, Bora Bora territory asked Sogreah Magelis to set up a protective area of its wells.
In the context of the development of two new chemical plants in Qingdao (Shandong Province), Rhodia China acquired two industrial sites. Sogreah Magelis performed the full Environmental Site Assessments of these sites following the ASTM Due Diligence standards.
The Ningbo Water Supply Company (NWSC) and the Cixi Municipal Sewage Company (CMSC) have launched an ambitious project partly financed with a loan from the World Bank. The aim of this project is to improve the water supply system of Ningbo city and the treatment of wastewaters in Cixi region. Sogreah Magelis took part in the performance of the Environmental Impact Assessment, the Environmental Management Plan and the monitoring of the World Bank's approval.
The Compagnie Thermique du Gol (CTG), a subsidiary of Séchilienne-Sidec (member of the Air Liquide group) intends to build and operate a new plant within the Saint-Louis municipality (on Reunion Island). The plant comprises a boiler house and power generating equipment with a gross rated power of 55 MW and a net continuous power of 51 MW. This plant is intended to meet the requirements of the EDF power grid on Reunion Island and supply steam to the adjoining sugar refinery in the event of a failure on the existing units.
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has decided to bring some of the Group’s strategic activities together on a site on the outskirts of Mumbai. As part of this project, Sogreah Magelis assessed the contamination on the site (a former industrial area).
Located at the confluence of the Rhône and the Saône "Rivers", right in the heart of Lyon, the Perrache peninsula, which was dedicated to industrial and transport activities is now the place of one of the most ambitious urban development projects in France and in Europe. Sogreah Magelis is manager of the project’s environmental works, from environmental and health risk assessments to management of soil and groundwater rehabilitation projects.
In the context of the end of the Production Sharing Agreement of the block 3 (Offshore Oil Field facilities) in Angola, Sogreah Magelis performed an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) on behalf of Total E&P Angola and in compliance with Angolan environmental legislation and Total corporate standards.
