Select a geographic area and/or select a theme Environmental Compliance Audit for the Development of the Dujiangyan Cement Plant BACKGROUND LAFARGE operates through a 75 % hold joint venture signed in 1999 two modern and high efficiency dry process cement plants, comprising five stage cyclone pre-heater systems, pre-calciners and rotary kilns. A 6 km conveyor supplies the limestone from the quarry which is continuously rehabilitated. SOGREAH MAGELIS’ SERVICES As part of the worldwide environmental protection program and its enforcement in China, Sogreah was commissioned to conduct the first Environmental Audit to assess the current situation and establish the baseline for continuous improvement at Lafarge’s most advanced site in China. Sogreah identified the current non-compliances with the Chinese regulations and improvement opportunities towards corporate best practices. Practical recommendations for implementation were also provided. |
