Due Diligence of a former military site - Titu-Boteni, Romania
Environmental audit and Remediation
Renault Technology Romania (RTR) has acquired a former air base of
260 ha at Titu in the objective of creating a research center. In this
framework, Renault Technology Romania entrusted Sogreah Magelis and
Enviro-Asist, the environmental audit of the site in the objective of
determining the level of pollution, produced from previous activities
on site.
Historical and documentary analyses were followed by
investigations on the quality of soil and groundwater in order to
identify the polluted areas. These surveys lead to recommendations,
when implementing remediation works, and enable the new activity to be
created in a safe area regarding the health of future users.
In
March 2008, before the beginning of the construction phase of its new
trial center, Renault Technology Romania entrusted Sogreah Magelis and
Enviro-Asist to support the project owner during remediation works.
