Select a geographic area and/or select a theme Environmental Due diligence Audits CONTEXT OF THE PROJECT In the context of the acquisition of the Alcogroup group, EDF Energies Nouvelles entrusted Sogreah Magelis with the realization of an industrial audit on NCP Alcohols site located in Durban, South Africa, and on Alcodis site located at Rose Belle, on Mauritius. The audit’s objectives were to assess the state of the site and evaluate the risks associated with the acquisition from a technical and environmental point of view. The site activity is the production of alcoholic products (biofuel, vinegar, rum and spirits) made of treacle of sugar cane. SOGREAH MAGELIS’ SERVICES Sogreah Magelis’ mission was to realize a comprehensive audit of two sites in order to evaluate the following aspects:
The site expertise led to concrete technical recommendations for the improvement of the site performance and on a financial evaluation of the investment necessary to the compliance of the sites with regulation or to the improvement of the sites. The audits were realized in accordance with EDF Energies Nouvelles’
objectives and following procedures which are in conformity with the
standards of the profession at the international level.
